The Guide to End All Guides
I didn’t expect to be writing for Kotaku AU again, but the opportunity presented itself when I told Alex Walker (former managing Editor of Kotaku AU) that the current Final Fantasy XIV guide wasn’t really helpful to Australians. As it was from the US site, it contained a lot of irrelevant information while missing important information that would be useful to Australians. It was reposted now and again, meaning the likelihood of misinformation to spread was high. Alex suggested that perhaps I should write a new guide, one tailored specifically for an Australian audience.
A chance to be published by Kotaku AU not once, but twice? And about a game I was very passionate about? Heck yeah!
This was the start of what ended up being called a comprehensive guide to FFXIV. And it was comprehensive!
With Kotaku AU being taken offline, the guide is available to download below.
