A Manderville man!
It seemed very strange to me that no one on Kotaku AU had ever written about the Manderville questline in Final Fantasy XIV. It was a small side quest that most people would ignore due to it not being one of the “main” quests. This would absolutely be a mistake. Known colloquially as “The Hilderbrand Adventures”, the Manderville questline is an exercise in absurdity that has earned it a place in the hearts of many an FFXIV fan. Not wanting people to miss out the opportunity to deal with some silly light-heartedness, I pitched Alex Walker (then editor of Kotaku AU at the time) this article.
