While I was playing Endwalker for review, there were so many callbacks to things that had happened in previous expansions and the base game that I felt a need to compile them. Even more so when I realised these weren’t really documented as yet.
As I played side quests, I noted the events that occurred in a Word document. Luckily, I came up with the idea fairly quickly into the review, so I was able to jot down the easter eggs in the main quests as well.
This ultimately led to an article on the gods of Eorzea for IGN, but unfortunately, I wasn’t credited. I did get paid, though.
