Don’t Anger Nintendo Fans
Nintendo decided to surprise its fans by dropping a massive update for its game Animal Crossing New Horizons after about 6 months of no content. My interest in the game had already mostly waned due to a lack of new things to do so at first, I was quite excited for the news. This soon felt like a slap in the face when they announced paid DLC which would grant players the ability to place furniture in different ways to the base game. Knowing I was unable to afford the DLC and feeling like Nintendo didn’t respect my time, I ended up writing an opinion piece on it. It was here that I discovered you don’t piss off Nintendo fans. They are fervent in their desire to protect their preferred franchise.
And yet, I found my words resonated with a lot of people who had been playing the game but ended up moving onto new things. Those people never comment on the articles however, just the angry ones.
